The South Branch Library hosts Toddler Time on Tuesdays from 10-10:30 AM & 11-11:30 AM, Baby Story Time on Thursdays from 9:30-10 AM, and Story Time on Thursdays from 11-11:30 AM. 

The Story Time Assistant provides support to the Librarian by counting the number of attendees and ensuring that attendance stays within the room's maximum capacity limit.

Assist with hands-on nature and science experiment activities for children ages 6-10 and their families, as well as help set up /clean up for the program. Program Assistants should report to the program 15 minutes before the program starts.

Join the Great American Cleanup (GAC), Denton's largest and longest-running community cleanup as an event-support volunteer! 

This role will support the trash and recycling drop-off area as cleanup volunteers return to the Civic Center to drop off the bags of litter they collected at their cleanup sites. This opportunity will be assigned to a traffic support role or trash unloading/loading role.

Assist with the North Branch Plant Swap by setting up before and cleaning up after the program, which could include resetting tables and chairs if needed. Also, monitor the room during the program and assist with handing out seed packets and other tasks. Program Assistants should report to the program 30 minutes before the program starts.

Assist with the "Spring into Cricut Design" program in the Forge at the North Branch Library.  Help set up and clean up program and assist customers with activities during the program. Program Assistants should report to the program 15 minutes before the program starts.

Assist with facilitating the South Branch Kindergarten Prep program for children (this program is designed for 4-5 year olds to spend an hour in a more independent learning environment, while still having the comfort and safety of their caregiver being in the same room). 

- Setting up before and cleaning up after the program, which could include resetting tables and chairs if needed

- Monitoring the room during the program

- Helping to facilitate the program activities as kids move from learning station to learning station

Assist with deep cleaning the Baby Garden area to make it sanitary for small children to play in. This may involve crawling around on the floor, vacuuming, mopping, or other sanitizing tasks using disinfecting wipes and cleaners.

Assist with North Branch’s Preschool Prom by helping with setup and clean up, taking tickets at the door, counting the attendees, and assisting with various craft and activity stations during the program. Program Assistants should report to the program 15 minutes before the program starts.

Workdays for the Denton Mountain Bike Park. Workdays include trail building as well as general trail maintenance. Workdays can be both planned with a group or individual self-guided task.
